Harbin Jile Temple
Jile Temple, or Temple of Bliss is the biggest Buddhist building complex in Heilongjiang Province. The main buildings include the entrance gate, Hall of Heavenly King, Grand Hall, Sacred Hall, Sutra Depository, Bell Tower, Drum Tower and the Seven-storey Buddhist Pagoda. The whole temple looks magnificent, elegant and dignified, with the style of Chinese temple architecture.
As one of 142 key temples of Chinese Buddhism, the Jile Temple is a religious attraction in Harbin. It is also the center of Harbin’s and Heilongjiang province’s association of Buddhism. It is well known among a group of countries and regions, such as Japan, South Korea, the US, and Southeast Asia. In 1995, an Arhat Hall and a palace for prayer were built, these being the first construction of this kind in Northeast China. All the statues in the temple are made of camphor wood except the ones of Heavenly Kings, which are made of clay.
The Temple of Bliss is one of the most important Buddhist shrines in Harbin city. Also it is the popular place where the foreign visitors who want to pay a visit in Harbin these years. The temple has been listed as a national key open temple and a key historical site under Heilongjiang province’s protection.

4 minutes to the temple.
2) Take subway Line 1 to Harbin Engineering University, then walk about 4 minutes to the temple.
What are the opening hours of the Jile Temple?
The temple opens from 08:00 to 15:30 every day (In Spring Festival, it opens at 05:00 and closes at 16:00).
